What is Mental Health First Aid?
  • Mental Health First Aid is an internationally recognised training course which teaches people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis.

  • Mental Health First Aid won’t teach you to be a therapist, but just like physical first aid, it will teach you to listen, reassure and respond, even in a crisis.

Why become a Mental Health First Aider?
  • Mental health issues are common, 1 in 4 people will experience issues in any one year.

  • Stress, anxiety and depression are the biggest cause of sickness absence in our society.

  • Mental ill health is responsible for too many working days lost each year.

  • Early intervention is vital and Mental Health First Aid provides the skills to identify someone in crisis at the early opportunities.

Who is the two day course great for?
