What is Mental Health First Aid?
Mental Health First Aid is an internationally recognised training course which teaches people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis.
Mental Health First Aid won’t teach you to be a therapist, it will provide you with skills including, how to listen, reassure, respond and encourage someone.

Course Overview
A two-day practical skills and awareness course designed to give you:

Course Overview
This half day course will enable your Mental Health First Aiders and MHFA Champions to refresh their skills in the same way your physical first aiders do.
The course will support your Mental Health First Aiders and MHFA Champions by:

Suicide First Aid
What is Suicide First Aid?
Teaching the theory and practice of suicide intervention skills that can be applied in any professional or personal setting, captured in a one-day event (accredited by City and Guilds of London) or a half day lite event.
The Suicide First Aid sessions have some interactive elements that can be emotionally engaging. The sessions are for anyone who seeks greater understanding and confidence to intervene with people at risk of suicide.
Course Overview
This half day (4 hour) or full day (8 hour) session will provide the readiness to act when needed to deal suicide first aid situations. Understand approaches and process of suicide intervention including desired outcomes. Know the importance of self-reflection and personal impact when working with suicide and people at risk.
